About Me

Hi, I’m Jan.

I live and work in Buckinghamshire, England. I have been painting for nearly 30 years and have tried many different media.

At the moment I love using Acrylic with added collage papers. These are where I can add colour and pattern. I make my own collage papers. Its part of the process.

Acrylic allows layering and this is how I want to make an interesting surface that looks weathered, worn and tactile. Colour is everything but so is a good balance of tones.

People say my paintings are ‘happy and lyrical ,bright and full of character.’

When I make paintings I am happy

I run In person workshops here in Whelpley Hill, Bucks. These are for any ability. I teach my process over a variety of subjects. They will be published on my Website when available.
